Wenn Ihr Helden mir hier helfen könntet, kämen bestimnmt noch mehr solcher Fragen in den nächsten Wochen. Ich würde die dann mal sammeln.

Von mir aus gern :D Ist auch mal interessant. Ich kann hier nicht mit Fachwissen dienen. Aber mit Google und meinem eigenen Sprachgefühl. Mein Sprachgefühl sagt: allowed und permitted sind synonym - ich spüre aber einen gewissen, für mich nicht fassbaren Unterschied.

Ich versuchs doch mal in Worte zu fassen: permitted hat für mich den Touch und die Assoziation eines "permit" als physischem Erlaubnisschreiben, das nach Einzelabwägung einer Einzelperson erteilt wird. Allowed beschreibt für mich eher nicht-verbriefte Berechtigungen, z.B. etwas was sich aus allgemeinem Usus oder allgemein gehaltenen Bestimmungen ergibt. Permitted hat für mich also eher Bedeutung für einzelne Handlungen während allowed eher allgemein gehalten klingt. Z.B. würde ich aus "you are not permitted to do this" schließen, dass ich mir zuerst eine Berechtigung (permit) dazu holen muss, während ich mit "you are not allowed to do that" eher assoziieren würde, dass etwas allgemein verboten ist. Ich würde sogar so weit gehen, dass es sprachlich (zumindest für mein Gefühl) möglich ist, zu sagen: "Generally it ist not allowed to drive unless you are at least 18 years old, but some are permitted to do that." Das wäre für mich ein Beispiel, in dem allowed und permitted nicht austauschbar sind - nochmal: für mein Sprachgefühl als nicht-native-Speaker.

Aus dem Bauch heraus also: Allowed. Denn die möglichen Bildtypen sind ja allgemeine Richtlinien, keine personen-/datenbezogenen Einzelfallentscheidungen.

Und nun mal was Google so sagt:

Die Überschrift des Beitrags KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALLOWED AND NOT PERMITTED lässt darauf schließen, dass keine volle Synonymität vorliegt. Das stützt meine These - in diesem Fall: Etwas ist generell erlaubt (allowed), manche dürfen es aber nicht (not permitted). Das allowed steht hier für allgemein geltendes Recht und das permitted für eine individuell getroffene Entscheidung, Rechte zu gewähren oder einzuschränken.

Hi,

You cant use permit with adverb particles (She wouldnt allow me in, but not she wouldnt permit me in)

Also you cant use allow with it + passive structures, for example It is not permitted to smoke in the room (It is not allowed to smoke.... is wrong)

Allow is a form of established freedoms, permit is like a rule, regulation or law for these freedoms.
