Ich habe einen Nachtrag zu dem Thema favicon.ico

In einem MS-Newsletter las ich folgendes:

Download this fix to eliminate two security vulnerability issues in Internet Explorer. The first issue involves a feature of Internet Explorer 5 that lets you use an icon provided by a Web site when you add the site as a Favorite. The vulnerability is that a purposefully malformed icon could be used to run arbitrary code on your computer, using a security vulnerability called a "buffer overrun."  .....

Bewirkt dieser Patch, dass das favicon.ico nicht mehr
angezeigt wird? Aus diesem Grund wollte ich den Patch
auch nicht installieren.
